Pain thrives in stigma and individuals; families and communities suffer as a result. The stigma attached to mental illness and addiction is immense. Having worked in the front lines of behavioral health for almost 30years, Dr. K. has both developed and transformed clinical behavioral health systems to ensure the best ethical quality of care for all clients served. In recovery from mental illness and understanding the pain of mental illness she always puts the well-being and safety of clients at the forefront of all opportunities to engage.

As a licensed professional clinical counselor (LPCC), Dr. K. has served in high-level positions across her career, and she truly understands the necessity of legally mandated confidentiality, and the overall utmost discretion in serving her clients.

“Everyone deserves quality behavioral healthcare. It pains me to see suffering in this critical part of a person’s mental health because of the stigma and fear that creates a barrier to their healing. I’ve witnessed genuine concern of judgement at a time where they are hurting but may not feel comfortable seeking out care in the community because of their career or community status. I do understand what this feels like. I sought and still choose treatment over suffering.” – Dr. K.

What is Concierge Counseling?

Concierge Counseling is a small-scall model of clinical mental health practice that is centered on the unique needs of each individual client utilizing evidence-based interventions and relevant clinical practices designed to usher clients towards healing.

What are the benefits of Concierge Counseling?

Concierge Counseling offers a personalized opportunity for clients to meet with Dr. K. in a safe private setting up to and including where applicable, periodic Telehealth 1-hour sessions and 30-minute check-ins. A concierge counseling setting allows increased privacy and attention, is quality driven, with less intrusive paperwork, and offers a personalized approach.

Who is a candidate for Concierge Counseling?

All emotional beings with the desire to improve their overall health and well-being. Dr. K.’s experience continues with Concierge Counseling providing clinical services to adult clients only.

What form(s) of payment are acceptable for Concierge Counseling?

Concierge Counseling is a self-pay model of service. Dr. K. has practiced in many systems of care and Concierge Counseling cuts through the red tape of insurance protocols required for the same quality of care.

A personalized intake, treatment planning and scope of treatment process (e.g., cadence and frequency of care, diagnostics) adherent to legal requirements (e.g., HIPAA) allows more focus on client healing than on billing. This more streamlined practice of care eliminates the need for insurance pre-authorization and non-funded treatment diagnoses concerns. Clients will receive a customized clinical experience allowing collaborative and dedicated attention to their needs and life goals.

What is Dr. K.'s availability for Concierge Counseling services?

Concierge Counseling provides more scheduling flexibility and because of the nature of this form of service, Dr. K. ensures a lower caseload that allows for increased opportunity to engage with clients. Scheduling details are established at the point of intake – kept at the agreed upon cadence, remaining flexible for when life happens.
